Leadership change ahead as Medicvent's CEO transitions within Sdiptech
The Umeå-based company Medicvent is seeking a new CEO as Erik Lindström transitions to a new role within the parent group, Sdiptech.
Founded in 1983, Medicvent’s core business idea is to develop, manufacture, and sell products for the evacuation of air pollutants, primarily within healthcare. In 2015, Medicvent was acquired by Sdiptech, a Swedish technology group focused on infrastructure, which acquires and develops companies to create more sustainable, efficient, and safe societies.
Erik Lindström began his tenure as CEO of Medicvent in 2017, but after seven years in the position, he is now set to take on new responsibilities.
“I will be joining Sdiptech as a Business Unit Manager, responsible for a number of companies, including Medicvent, so I will continue to be involved with the company,” explains Erik, who is looking forward to his new role:
“It’s an exciting assignment within an expanding group that is continually growing with new companies. Naturally, I will miss Medicvent and all my colleagues. Medicvent is on an exciting international growth journey, and just a few weeks ago, we signed an agreement with a new distributor for New Zealand and Australia, so a lot is happening within the company.”
The Umeå-based MedTech company currently has nine employees, and the recruitment process for a new CEO has begun.
“Our ambition is to have this matter resolved by the beginning of next year, whether it will be in Q1 or Q2 remains to be seen,” says Erik Lindström.
